How do you perceive yourself? Do you think the best of yourself? Or less of yourself? Do you talk yourself down or talk yourself up? Perception is our way of looking ourselves and at others. It is our way of understanding who we are and what we believe others to be. Based on our perception of ourselves and others, we make assumptions. And those assumptions cause us to create a belief system about ourselves and others. This thought of perception leads us into a permanent way of believing. This belief system can make or break you. Why? The more you think yourself into how you perceive yourself, you become what you believe.
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he Proverbs 23:7
It’s like the old saying “you are what you eat”. This is true because what you eat shows in your physical being. Your perception is the same way. You are what you believe you are.
