Dare to soar

Are you ready for your life to soar?  What’s keeping you from soaring? What are you afraid of? We have all had things we are afraid of.  Being afraid can keep you from soaring, better yet it will keep you in bondage.  Bondage will keep you from soaring.

Soaring requires you to rise up and go. Often times we won’t try new things because we fear failure or we fear success.  Failure because we don’t want to fail and success because we aren’t ready to handle all that comes with the territory.

Regardless, fear hinders you from reaching your God given abilities.  God has gifted you and he has given you the ability to do what needs to be done.   Therefore not doing it is not an option for you.  God expects you to use your abilities for his glory.  Only you can do what God has called you to do.  It may be writing, singing, carving, or painting. Whatever the case may be God wants you to soar in your ability.  Let today be the day that you decide to soar in your ability.

Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Remember everyday is a new day to begin again.  Your life begins today……..

I dare you today to soar in your ability to do what God has called you to do.

I dare you to put aside fear and move into your calling

What is your dwelling place?

In the hustle and bustle of the day we find ourselves rushing out into the world. In most cases we are ready to conquer it. But by the end of the day, we wonder how we made it through. You are tired, stressed and overworked. Yet and still you want to find a place to run and hide from it all. Where is this place and how can you find it?  The answer is simple, find your dwelling place.

Your dwelling place is where you can find rest. A sweet, sweet rest. It is a place where you can go and find shelter from the rain. It is a place of peace, love and serenity. This is your secret place in God.

We all need a place where we can go and rejuvenate ourselves in order to come back ready to continue the race. We all need a moment to meditate and relax during the day. We all need a time of uninterrupted dwelling. This dwelling place is where God can give you what you need to make it every day. The problem is we don’t make time for our dwelling place. When it was time for Jesus to rest, even he took time away for himself.  How much more can we learn from him.

He that dwells in the shelter of the most high shall find rest in the shadow of the almighty.  Psalm 91:1

I challenge you to find your dwelling place and make an appointment to be there everyday.  Spend time with God and watch his awesome glory in your life.

Remember every day is a new day to begin again. Your life begins today…..

Your task

1. Find your dwelling place.

2. Set aside time each day for this place

3. Dwell in that place every day

Live in the Present

Have you ever felt like you missed out on something in life? Or felt like you haven’t experienced all that life has to offer.  Better yet, you felt like life has passed you by and that you haven’t done all you set out to do.

We all have dreams and passions that we have desired to accomplish, but somewhere along the way, those dreams and passions have yet come to pass. So now you dwell upon the things you cannot change and miss the very moment you are in.

As a result, we find ourselves missing out on life because we are so focused on what woulda, what coulda and what shoulda been. So what should you do? Live in the present. If we continue to dwell upon the things we cannot change, we will miss the moment now.

God still has a plan for your life. That plan may not have been what you desired, but God still has a set course for your life and God will see to it that it is accomplished. Therefore you must live in the present.   Don’t let the past keep you from living today.

Every moment in life is precious. Instead of living in the past, it is time to live in the present. The moment you live in the present, you will be able to experience and enjoy what God has for you.  Enjoy the now, then experience the life you are supposed to have.

Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not

make it good?

Focus on the present and live in the now.

Empowered by God

Life happens, and because life happens we have good days and we have bad days.  We have so so days and we have days that we wish never happened.  We may even sit down and try to figure out what we did wrong. Or we may even try to understand it.  But when the day is gone, its gone. We can’t change, we can’t rewind it, but what we can do is learn from it. God has empowered you to  move forward.

To empower means to give (someone) the authority or power to do something (by God)or enable (someone) to do (something) make (someone) stronger and more confident, esp. in controlling their life and claiming their rights.

So when I become empowered, I have been given the power or authority to do something.  I have become stronger and more confident in my life.  I know who I am and I know whose I am. I know that I have a right to walk the places I am walking.  I have a right to do the things I am doing, all because I have been empowered by God!

Every day is a new day to begin again. Remember your life begins today…..

This week’s task

on what is means to be empowered.

Write down the things that God has empowered you to do.

Do what God has empowered you to do.
